NASHVILLED

On Sunday, May 14, 2006, a scared but excited 22-year-old packed up her Ford Explorer Sport, kissed her mother and sister and future brother-in-law goodbye and "moved" to Nashville. It was a Mother's Day, so you can imagine how well all of this went over with the aforementioned mother, whose baby girl was really and truly leaving her for Tennessee.... until five days later, at least, when the baby was coming back home for the weekend (a pattern to be repeated at least every other weekend for the rest of the year).

I was that scared 22-year-old. I had no idea how long I'd be in this town or what mischief I would get into, I just knew I had to start on my own somewhere. It has been a pretty fun ride, sometimes a hard one, but five years later, I'm still here!

Today is my Nashversary! I'll be celebrating all week by recounting some of the highlights of my five years in Tennessee.

Mother's Day 2006... those pants finally fit again, by the way.
