THANKFUL

Both of my grandfathers served in the army (one in World War II, one in Korean War) and unlike many, were lucky enough to come home and live a long, fulfilling life. So fulfilling, in fact, that Paw Paw (paternal grandfather) decided to start writing his memoirs before he died, including a chapter about his duty overseas.

My uncle decided today was the day to scan some old family photos and post them on Facebook, so I snatched these to post in honor of one of my favorite veterans of all. If I had some photos of Paw Paw, I would post them too. But until then, meet Big Daddy.
