ACTY

I really enjoyed my tap class this summer. I enjoyed learning something new and then showing what I learned to my friends and family and coworkers. Tapping was a great break to my normal routine.

So, I am looking for something to do this fall. My former classmates are trying to get my teacher to add a tap class for us, but in case that falls through, here's what I have come up with:

Can Take:
Pottery
Painting
Belly Dance
Pilates

Would Like To Take But Can't Find:
Sewing
Cooking

OR

Would Like To Take But Not Available When I Want It To Be:
Improvisational Acting

Improv is my first choice. The problem is that the classes are on Saturdays for eight weeks in the fall. And let's be honest, that's not going to work. So I may have to wait until January 2009 for that one. In the meantime, I will go check out one of their troupe's shows to see if they are any good.

But back to the present: what should I take next? (Note: the weight of your opinion triples if you can take a class with me.)

OR, you could do a foreign language like Arabic.

  2. Salud at Whole Foods offers cooking classes.

I'd love to take an art class this fall - pottery or painting? I'm there.

    Pilates is the best!

  5. I would like to take a commercial acting class soon. I'm really scared to take a class out here so I've kind of been putting it off.

  6. I think you should do sewing or cooking... they would be fun and useful for a long time! I am taking a smocking class right now that is so much fun! It is cool to look at/taste something and know that you made it!

  7. Eric, I'd be scared to take acting class in LA too.

Everyone else, thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I will postpone sewing until I have someone to sew for. But it's definitely on the list for future classes.

Cooking, painting or pottery... decisions, decisions.

  8. Well... let's think about this:

1.) You don't have a place to live, so you don't have anywhere to put pottery.

2.) You don't have a place to live, so you don't have anywhere to put paintings.

3.) You DO have a stomach, so you have somewhere to put food. <----- I say COOKING. Hands down.

    ;)
